Do you ever feel like you aren’t doing anything right?
The pressure to be a "perfect mom" can make feelings of inadequacy worse. Parents often find themselves caught in a cycle of stress, leading to shame and guilt. Many parents I work with are experiencing a conflict between managing their trauma while also parenting their kids. Online counseling can provide highly accessible strategies for coping with anxiety, navigating parenting challenges, relationship barriers, and emotional health. But most importantly.. creating lasting CHANGE!

Overstimulation is sensory and emotional overload that can occur in the busy day-to-day life of parenting. Symptoms often include increased irritability, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, and feelings of anxiety or stress. Many of us moms can experience physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, and changes in sleep patterns. Tiggers could be loud environments, multitasking demands, and the constant presence of digital devices.
Online counseling offers us overstimulated moms the flexibility to access support from the comfort of our own homes, allowing us to prioritize our mental health without the added stress of travel. This convenience enables us to schedule sessions at times that fit our busy lives, fostering a sense of empowerment and balance.

Postpartum is the period following childbirth, and can truly last up to a year after. As new mothers we can experience a range of day-to-day symptoms, including fatigue, mood swings, anxiety, sadness, and physical discomfort. Common challenges include establishing a routine, feelings of being overwhelmed, and changes in appetite and sleep patterns.
Online counseling can be an invaluable resource for us as postpartum women, providing a safe and accessible space to discuss our experiences and emotions. WITH our new little one. Through virtual therapy, we can receive support tailored to our specific needs, gain coping strategies, and process our feelings in a non-judgmental environment. This approach allows for greater flexibility, making it easier for busy moms like us to seek help while maintaining our daily responsibilities.

Confronting generational trauma presents unique challenges for parents navigating modern parenthood. We often find ourselves balancing the inherited emotional scars from our own upbringing while striving to create a healthier environment for our children. This conflict can lead to feelings of anxiety, guilt, and confusion, making it difficult to establish open communication and foster emotional intelligence in our children. Online counseling can provide essential support to address these issues, offering strategies to break the cycle of trauma and promote resilience and healing. Emphasizing acceptance and the reality we face, therapeutic approaches can empower us as parents to confront our past, redefine OUR parenting norms, and cultivate nurturing relationships that foster emotional well-being in our families.
WHY ONLINE THERAPY
WHY ONLINE THERAPY
Accessibility and Convenience: Online therapy allows parents to schedule sessions without the hassle of commuting, making it easier to fit mental health support into busy lifestyles and reduce stress.
Accommodate your schedule: To accommodate parents, we offer early morning (before kids are up), late evening (after work/kids in bed), AND weekend appointments!
Have little kids? While therapists are legally/ethically required to be alone during sessions to uphold confidentiality, YOU might not have that option. OF COURSE we encourage minimal distractions, but from one experienced parent to another… you rarely get that opportunity. If you have an infant/toddler playing in the background, we support it. What matters most is how we can support you in meeting your goals!
Just because you are a mom who has to watch her kid does NOT mean you shouldn’t have access to therapy!
